Ashley and Bryan were our initiation back into wedding photography after having our second son. We could not have asked for a more fun, beautiful wedding to kick off our busy Fall season! As Asheville wedding photographers it isn’t often that you get to photograph a wedding on Biltmore’s front lawn. In the over 160 weddings we have now done, we have only had 3 Biltmore front lawn weddings. They are simply stunning.
Ok, time to tell the rest of this story with the photos but lets back up in the day a bit to the “getting ready” time at the Inn on Biltmore.
That dress and that veil!! Ashley looked incredible!!
For the first look, Ashley did something I have never seen a bride do before. She decided she wanted to surprise Bryan with a song.
SO many sweet moments. Ashley and Bryan decided they would not kiss after the first look but to wait until the kiss at the alter. This made for some sweet cuddle moments.
I loved this bridal party. The gals looked stunning in their pink sarees. The guys loved to goof off and Michael was there to capture their insanity. 🙂
My favorite photo of Ashley. She can rock a photo!
Our favorite photos of Bryan! Very debonaire!
Shout out to Blossoms of Biltmore Park for the stunning floral!
Ashley and Bryan’s wedding had some great uniqueness to it! Ashley, who is Indian, wanted an American/Christian ceremony with a bit of her Indian heritage tied in. I would say they pulled this off amazingly! One Indian tradition is to pray with the bride and bless her before the ceremony. These moments between Ashley and her family are so precious.
More photos with the couple at the house and on the south terrace!
Ok, maybe this is my favorite photos of Ashley… I just can’t decide! She looked stunning.
Let the ceremony begin! Ok, so first I have to give MAJOR props to Nicole Bloom with Two Sweet Sparrows. She coordinated this epic ceremony and wedding. The weather radar showed a rain forecast during the ceremony. Biltmore, Blossoms, and Nicole were all prepping the tent on the Italian Gardens for a back up plan. However, the radar reading changed it showed that it would not rain during the time of the ceremony so they rearranged everything back to the front Lawn. I KNOW this was not easy but ALL of them rocked it. And this is one of the reasons the wedding turned out so lovely.
I love this Indian custom with Ashley’s aunts.
Congratulations Ashley and Bryan!
Ok, so now is the time to give props to our good pal Ian Riley! Ashley and Bryan wanted us to hire a 3rd photographer for a couple of hours to get the roof top shots! I was blown away by some of the images he was able to capture.
Another shot by Ian Riley!
Cocktail hour was on the library terrace. We were entertained by Asheville Arial Arts and we were simply blown away.
First dance on the library terrace.
Immediately following the first dance… this happened! Shout out again to Ian Riley for shooting the shots from the back of Biltmore’s property.
The reception was on in this magnificent tent on the south terrace! Once again, Classic Event Rental outdid themselves!
I watched the cake designers from Biltmore place this cake on this table. I was suddenly aware of the intense feat that making and delivering a wedding cake can be! As always, they did an incredible job!
This is my favorite photo of Ashley’s parents. They were so very kind to us. They even thanked Mozingo Photography during the speeches!
SO much joy. I obviously couldn’t decide on a close up shot or a wide shot of this moment… so I did both. 🙂
Toast moments are some of our favorite to photograph. Genuine smiles and laughter everywhere!
Ashley and Bryan changed after the toast into their modern Indian attire! They were ushered back in to the reception by the Indian dance team Bhangra Elite! Immediately following, they cut their cake.
Not sure if they meant to match their outfits with this cake but I loved that they matched!
This was probably one of my (Meriah’s) personal favorite moments of the evening. Bhangra Elite dance team performed for us! I was blown away by the energy of their performance! I had to remind myself to take photos because I found myself in awe and wanting to just sit and watch it!
After some intense entertaining, they invited everyone to the dance floor and danced with Ashley and Bryan and their guests!
For the rest of the evening everyone jammed out to a mixture of Indian and modern music. Split Second Sound did an incredible job of mixing the music.
We danced until 1:00am and instead of an official exit Ashley and Bryan simply took a bow as we all cheered! They sure do know how to throw a party!
Here is possibly my favorite shot of the evening. It took some technique to nail it but when we did…
