When I first spoke with Olivia, the first thing she told me was that Lenwood has always been the love of her life. This couple led two separate lives but eventually circled back around 30 years later. And now they are married! This proves that one can never be too old for love and marriage!
Our day started at the lovely Cathedral of All Souls in Biltmore Village. This church is gorgeous!

After taking a few photos at All Souls, we walked over to the Grand Bohemian for the reception.
The happy couple received a lot of honks and cheers from the cars passing by.
The ballroom at the Grand Bohemian is one of our favorite ballrooms in all of Asheville. It is simply stunning.

So these two weren’t going to do a “first dance” but couldn’t help taking a twirl on the dance floor after they were introduced. We love that.
Lenwood said it best. “At this age we know what love is really all about.” His welcome was so sweet and funny!
The toasts were excellent and brought lots of laughter.
The Voltage Brothers were our entertainment for the evening and everyone enjoyed them so, so much!
Olivia and Lenwood were caught on the dance floor quite a bit during the evening.

How did you meet? Have known each other for years as friends and recently reconnected.
Describe your first date? Actually nothing special – just dinner and conversation.
How long have you been together? 1.5 years
What are your favorite hobbies and activities to do as a couple? Going to concerts, hiking – anything outdoors, travel
Who popped the question and HOW? Lenwood surprised and popped the question at a historic hotel in downtown Nashville.
Why did you pick Asheville and Grand Bohemian Hotel? Central location for family and friends. Love the quaintness of the town and the hotel as a venue is simply amazing.
What adjective best describes your spouse on your wedding day? GLOWING!
What tangible detail of your wedding day did you love the most? (Cake, dress, special item?) The note I received from Lenwood prior to the ceremony.
How many guests attended the wedding? 100
What did you and your guests eat at the reception? Filet, potatoes, vegetables, seafood, etc.
What was the flavor of your wedding cake? Carrot Cake
What was your first dance song and why did you pick it? “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers. It describes how it feels to wake up with Lenwood every day.
What stood out to you the most when you think of your wedding? The love in the room from all that attended. It was amazing!
What is on your “bucket list” to do together as a married couple? Trip to France, a “wedding reunion” of friends and family, medical mission work together.
