Julia + David’s Diana Biltmore Wedding

Julia and David’s wedding was one for the books! We now affectionally call Julia our “Pink Bride’ and she will forever hold that title. In fact, her instagram handle is “Pink Boot Princess” and that could also describe her wedding! The decor was in all different shades of pink, she wore cowboy boots, and she looked like a freaking princess!

The ceremony had to be under a tent due to the weather but this entrance made up for it! What gorgeousness!

One of our absolute favorite things about this wedding was this candy bar!! Oh my goodness! It was complete with a champagne glass wall and so much candy I’m sure they had left overs for weeks!

The Champagne glasses had rosè with cotton candy on top. YUM!! Julia freaked out in excitement when she saw this candy bar, as we all did.

The reception decor was an absolute dream. The BobbyMark’s Design team outdid themselves on this one.

Shout out to these wedding professionals that made this day amazing for Julia and David!

Wendy with Blush Asheville doing her thing! Wendy especially loved Julia’s colors as it is the exact shade of pink that Wendy uses for her Blush brand!

Sixpence and white cowboy boots. This may be a first for us. 🙂

This is one of the happiest brides we have ever had. She was confident and felt pretty. Just as a bride should feel on her wedding day. I loved it when she said “I was made to wear this dress ya’ll! I feel BEAUTIFUL!”

And indeed she was and IS beautiful!

Pink socks for the groom. Heck yes!

First look. David cried. We love that.

We are obsessed with these pink accents!

It rained on and off throughout the day. These bridesmaids were ON IT with helping with that dress.

Our princess bride.

We love these candid moments with the attendants and guests.

Julia and David wanted photos with this gorgeous reception set up, and why not?!?!

This moment with the mother of the bride when she saw her daughter.

In Julia’s words… “Cheers wedding winches!” 🙂

Julia absolutely loves her some Bobby and Mark. And they, her. They made her wedding dreams a true reality.

We had a little “good luck rain” on the big day. But this in NO way dampened Julia’s spirits. She just rolled with it and Mark was there to keep her dry.

Julia’s son Tyler walked her down the aisle.

David’s daughter, son, and mom are such beautiful people.

Cocktail hour fun!

A wall full of champagne.

We were so thankful the rain cleared up so we could get out for some gorgeous photos in front of the Biltmore house and the statue Diana.

Diana’s view.

And suddenly, the clouds begin to move to show us that gorgeous view!

Now introducing the Mr. and Mrs.!!

First dance.

Let the party begin!

Mother/son dance.

Oh my. This.
Julia’s beloved father passed away a few months ago. We ALL were really wanting and expecting him to get to be here with her on her big day. In lieu of the father/daughter dance, Julia and David danced to the song “Your Daddy’s Boots” by Dustin Lynch. In the background, a slideshow played with photos of her daddy. I cried ya’ll. Straight up cried.

These two can line dance!! In fact they met while country line dancing!

Our twirling bride. She had a separate dress for her reception and it was altered so she could dance her tail off!

Love her.  And her love for having her photo taken!

These two had a stand off dance to “Rednecker” by Hardy. It was hilarious!

And this is when the groom’s son got a little crazy!

Footloose.

Congrats to these two amazing people!!

As we were leaving, we took a few night shots in front of the house in their 1972 pickup rented from Mingle events.

Here is a bit more about Julia and David…

About Julia: Born and raised in Florida. Stay at home mom. Loves pink and sparkles but also getting dirty and wearing cowboy boots.

About David: Born and raised in Florida. Area sales manager for a railings company. Loves Jeeps and mudding.

How did you meet? We met while out country line dancing.

Describe your first date? I think dinner and a movie. We can’t really remember! It’s been so long!

How long have you been together? Almost 10 years

What are your favorite hobbies and activities to do as a couple? Line dancing, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, boating, cook out with friends.

Who popped the question and HOW? David asked on the beach, at sunset, in the Cayman Islands

Why did you pick Asheville and The Biltmore Estate? We live in Brevard, NC in the summer. We love it up here. NC is part of who we are and what we like to do. The Biltmore is such a beautiful place. The Diana was a mix of what Julia loves with all the glitz and glamor of the estate but tucked away enough for a little bit of a rustic country feel. Plus, I am a princess and needed to get married at a castle! 😉

What adjective best describes your spouse on your wedding day? David was emotional! Julia was beyond excited.

What tangible detail of your wedding day did you love the most? There were so many! My dress. I love that dress more than anything. My boots. They were so perfect for who I am, a princess in a poofy dress but ready for a little fun. The picture of my dad attached to my bouquet. He passed away 3 months before the wedding and it was so hard to be there without him. It was special to be able to hold him in my hand. The candy bar! It exceeded every bit of my dreams. That whole champagne wall turned candy bar was epic. The bracelet with my grandparents initials and wedding date. They were so important in my life so it was nice to have a little bit of them with me that day. The pink umbrellas! That umbrella is part of our story now. We used it in the trash the dress shoot. I think we are going to try and take a picture with it every year on our anniversary. Every bit of decor. Every silver sparkly table cloth, every flower, every detail was amazing. Mark and Bobby nailed every detail.

How many guests attended the wedding? 140

What did you and your guests eat at the reception? Filet mignon with risotto

What was the flavor of your wedding cake? Lemon

What is the one of the funniest things that happened on your wedding day? I can’t think of anything super funny. Everything was so perfect.

What was your first dance song and why did you pick it? “Diamonds or Twine” by Ryan Hurd. It fits our personalities perfectly. It doesn’t matter if it’s fancy or not, we will have fun.

Another notable song was the father-daughter tribute dance. Daddy’s Boots by Dustin Lynch. That was so emotional and it was felt by every person in the room.

What stood out to you the most when you think of your wedding? The wedding decor itself. I seriously can’t get over how perfect every detail was. Every flower, sparkle, chandelier, everything! Best wedding planners ever!!!

What is on your “bucket list” to do together as a married couple? Go to a Dude Ranch. Visit more Caribbean Islands. Build our dream home on a big piece of property and live on our own farm.
