As Asheville wedding photographers, we love that every wedding is different. We love the big, go-all-out weddings and the small, intimate weddings all the same. But this wedding is one of my all time favorites. Maybe because it was family, maybe because it was in my hometown, maybe because I use to play in the backyard where the wedding was held. There is an intimate nature to a backyard wedding that Michael and I adore. We love the laid back approach. The relaxed feel without any pressure and the focus on simply having a great time together. Just family and close friends here and it made for a fun, story telling, corn hole playing, hammock laying, and a good eatin’ kind of time.
Here are some of our favorite moments from Heather and Danny’s backyard wedding!
Wedding Coordinator: Leesha Setzer
Makeup and Hair: Brittany Cassida
Dress Design: Justin Alexander
Catering: Prissy Clark and Pam Martin
Cake: Cathy Berlin
Minister: Josh Hyde
This heart was pinned in the inside of Heather’s dress. It was a piece of everyone in her family’s life that had passed away.
First look sweetness!
I love their tattoos! As you can see it was a theme in the wedding. It was actually the verse Michael and I used in our own personal wedding invites and programs almost 7 years ago!
Mom as her daughter walks the aisle.
Danny’s beautiful daughter Maddie.
The bride’s son, Nash and the Groom’s daughter Maddie have a really special relationship already!
Cake smashing fun! We love getting to capture that.
When the Heather and Danny were doing their first dance, Nash, the bride’s son decided to join them. Then Danny’s daughter joined in and it became the “family first dance”
This Father/Daughter dance was so precious. What a beautiful relationship.
