A New Years Wedding at The Biltmore Estate’s LionCrest.

This was Mozingo Photography’s first New Years Eve wedding and it did not disappoint. Michael and I were really excited to ring in the New Year with Amber and Terris. The details were just stunning and the dancing was so much fun! At one point I overheard one of the guest exclaiming on the phone to a friend “I am at the best NYE party/wedding EVER!”

The wedding was coordinated and designed by the fabulous Tara Jordan with Weddings with Tara and was at Biltmore’s Lioncrest.

Michael and I will never forget this New Years 2014. What a way to bring in a new year. Congrats to this happy couple!

The fabulous work of Weddings with Tara!

Ceremony decor. Yes, please! This was beautiful!

Look at that reception!

Blush by Wendy Ballance is doing her thing! Isn’t she amazing?!

The beautiful Amber!

Her hair was done by Tamara Taylor Dugue (Hair Connoisseur, Columbia, MD)

First look under the mistletoe at the Biltmore Inn.

A beautiful winter wedding cake by the fabulous Biltmore pastry chef!

It was such a beautiful ceremony! Fantastic job by Rev. William Ashford.

In the words of Amber as she pointed up at the decor “This changed my life.”:)

Mad props to Blossoms at Biltmore Park for this beautiful masterpiece!

One of my favorite candid moments with Terris! This about sums up the evening. Lots and lots of laughter.

Some of the most meaningful toasts I have ever heard. We absolutely loved them.

Let the dancing begin! This was a band out of Atlanta. Henry Conerway III put this fabulous band together for the evening.

Happy New Year!!

All I can say is this Father of the Bride had some moves!!

Those moves had us all in stitches!

An Asheville Wedding Photographer’s Look Back on 2013

2013 was a spectacular year for the Mozingos. We shot 23 weddings and let me tell you, each and every wedding was unique. Some were small and intimate, some were on mountain tops and some at homes. Some were large, some with tons of intricate details and some that brought dancing to new definitions! In addition to weddings, we also photographed a couple of vow renewals, several “Rock the Frocks,” and about 6 bridal sessions. Michael and I absolutely love all the variety. We enjoyed each event and every person for their individuality and charm. It was also great to help welcome so many of them to Asheville as their desired wedding destination.

2014, you have a lot to live up to. I know you won’t disappoint;)

Thank you to all those who made 2013 such a special year for Mozingo Photography. We hope you enjoy these highlights as much as we enjoyed capturing them.

Serena and James are married at Mountain Magnolia Inn!

We had no idea how amazing Mountain Magnolia Inn was until we were able to photograph Serena and James’ beautiful wedding there!

There is so much to say about this wedding. What stands out most are the many, many, many details that went into it. James, the groom, (yes, the groom) seemed to have spent a lot of time and effort into making this wedding super detailed and meaningful. He even made the chandeliers people! How cool is that? And Serena was so cool and laid back. She was seemingly happy to let him do his thing even though I am sure she helped plan some of the details as well.

In the 13 years they have been together Serena and James have lived all over the country. They invited their closest friends and family from all of those places to the inn for a destination wedding. I loved how they incorporated each area they have lived at into the details.

Cortney from Asheville Event Company did a fantastic job of helping pull everyone together to make this a flawless event. Everything went so smooth. We love Cortney and her up beat personality. She even went a little crazy in the photo fun center.:)

I am going to let the pictures do the rest of the talking. Enjoy a glimpse into this incredible day.

The beautiful inn. Doesn’t this make you want to stay here?

View from the front porch of the inn.

Serena and James rented River Magic Cabin near the inn for this dress shot and the first look shots.

Serena looked fantastic! Make up by: Zack Russell- Makeup at the Grove. Hair by: Rebecca Biggers- Lola Salon and Gallery

I have never seen a hornet’s nest as part of the decor at a wedding! I loved it. So detailed and intricate. Props to Flora and their mad floral design skills!

One of Serena and James’ friends drew this cartoon from a photo of the couple. I loved how they incorporated this in the details.

More Flora magic!

Ceremony under the walnut tree. A signature for Mountain Magnolia Inn. This couple themed their wedding after this tree.

One of our favorite moments. Pure. Joy.

Memorial to both Dads.
