Michael here. “Baby Baby” Mozingo has arrived! Born on Wednesday, July 29th at 1:16 pm weighing in at 7 lbs. and 2 oz. We are grateful to God for a smooth delivery and a healthy baby boy. Meriah did incredible. A huge dose of gratitude goes to Jill Schwarzkopf with Realities Photography for hanging with us through the day. Her photos really captured the essence of these special moments. Some additional photos were taken by family once Ezra arrived to meet his baby brother. Seeing them meet was one of the most special moments of my life. Enjoy the photos!
The Mozingos are about to welcome our second boy due in 11 days!! We will be on maternity leave the rest of July and all of August but back at it for a wedding on Labor Day weekend!
I couldn’t resist sharing a bit of our story once again. Our amazing photographer and friend Jill with Realities Photography once again captured this special time in our lives. I love her ability to capture lifestyle images that freeze these fleeting moments for us. Here are just a few of our favorite images.
Here are a few shots of the new baby’s room that we JUST finished today. 🙂 We shot our last wedding on Saturday and now it feels like we are ready for our wee one to arrive.
Since little brother got some of big brother’s “hand me down” decor, we did some new things in Ezra’s room! Ezra is WAY in to construction vehicles!
Wish us luck as we begin this new chapter in our story. We are so excited!
Ashley and Mike had a gorgeous Asheville wedding at The Farm – A Gathering Place in Candler. They were so awesome to work with and a lot of fun to be around. After booking Ashley and Mike’s wedding I found out I was pregnant and due 2 weeks after their wedding date… Oh Snap. When talking with Ashley and giving her all the options she and Mike chose to “roll with it.” So, 11 days before I had my sweet Elliot I shot a July wedding, outside… and we rocked it with a little help from our friend Aaron from Aaron Imaging. (We hired a third photographer as back up so between the 3 of us we gave 150%! 🙂
We were a huge fan of the details of the wedding (maybe because my cousin Michelle Presnell put so much love and work into them). Michelle is the best friend of Ashley’s sister, Lisa. Among the many things she did, she came up with the oh so cool purse aisle markers and drew the cartoon picture of Ashley and Mike for the kids to color!
We battled the weather that day and Michael and Aaron had a bet going on if it was going to rain during ceremony. The radar said it most definitely was going to but Ashley wanted to try to see if it would hold off and it totally did!! (Sorry you lost the bet, Aaron!) 🙂
But enough from our side of things… lets hear a bit more about Ashley and Mike directly from them!
A bit about Ashley – I work at Waynesville pharmacy and enjoy exercising and crafts. I love my three cats, Lily, Dexter, and Dolly!
A bit about Mike – I work at CraneCo Resistoflex and love hiking and cooking. I love my newly-acquired three cats!
How did you meet? We met through a mutual friend who arranged us to meet at a Halloween party.
Describe your first date? Mike took me to The Book Exchange for a drink and then to Modesto for supper. He planned both places and highly impressed me with the good choices. We broke all first date rules by discussing politics and religion.
How long have you been together? Since March 2012.
What is your favorite hobbies and activities to do as a couple? As a couple, we love trying out trying out new restaurants, eating at awesome restaurants, and trying out new recipes at home together. You can find us walking around Lake Junaluska a couple days a week as well.
Who popped the question and HOW? Mike did. He took me to Savannah (where I spent 3 years attending pharmacy school at South University). He proposed in Wright Square in downtown Savannah after asking me to dance with him (he played Moondance) on his phone. Well-done, Mike.
How long had you been dating when you became engaged? 2 years and 3 months.
How long after you were engaged did you get married? 1 year and 1 month.
Why did you pick Asheville and the Farm? It was the perfect size and atmosphere in the Asheville area that we wanted to share with our loved ones.
What adjective best describes your spouse on your wedding day? Ashley on Mike- excited.
What tangible detail of your wedding day did you love the most? I loved looking around and seeing all of our loved ones who had made the effort to be with us on our day.
How many guests did you invite to the wedding? 220; I think 180 came. Which of you had more guests at the wedding, you or your spouse? Ashley had more.
What did guests eat at the reception? The Colorful Palate! Tasty chicken & beef tenderloin with yummy southern-style sides. It was the BEST!
What is the one of the funniest things that happened on your wedding day? Choosing to wear my mother’s cowboy boots down the aisle because of the weather. Also having three of my family members help to squeeze me into my dress.
What was your first dance song and why did you pick it? Moondance by Van Morrison. Mike asked me to dance with him on the parkway one night when we took a drive up there and it then became our song.
What stood out to you the most when you think of your wedding? How overwhelmingly loved I felt. So many people took time to be with us to share in our day and I’ll never forget it!
