Sarah and Doug’s wedding was our first wedding up at Diana at Biltmore Estate. We have shot at just about everywhere other venue at the Biltmore Estate but we finally got to photograph a ceremony here last month. The view is, in my opinion, the best at Biltmore and it was unbelievable. The threat of rain chased us under a tent during the ceremony but we were still able to photograph all the family photos with the backdrop of the house and mountains.
We were able to work with one of our favorites planners, Tara Jordan, with Weddings with Tara, to pull off such an amazing evening. Tara and her crew never disappoints and we always know the details and organization will be spectacular.
Sarah and Doug were our “Ken and Barbie,” (as titled by Tara 😉 ) They are beautiful!! Sarah could not stop laughing and Doug couldn’t stop looking at her. I caught him often looking at her and kissing her on the temple. It was precious.
Here Sarah and Doug are taking it all in.
Part of the tent at Diana is sectioned off for Cocktail hour. It is complete with couches, chandeliers and, of course, a bar!
The main part of the tent was closed off until dinner. We snuck in to grab a few photos of the spectacular-ness.
The Bloom Room of Asheville is responsible for this magic! I just love their floral.
One of the things I have been doing lately is taking photos of details during the day and then also at night. As you can see there is a whole different feel to each photo. I can’t tell which one I like better! So I give our clients both. 🙂
A chocolate grooms cake! Biltmore never disappoints when it comes to their cakes.
Biltmore also caters their weddings. Look at this yumminess!
But lets back up to the beginning of the day. The gals got ready at the Inn at Biltmore. Even though there were thunderstorms circling us it made for some amazing clouds!
Wendy with Blush Asheville did a fantastic job on Sarah’s makeup. Barbie never looked so good. 🙂
I love the way a mother looks at her daughter right after she puts on her wedding dress. This look is priceless and I love capturing it!
Well here is something we haven’t seen in over 100 weddings! I have never seen the father of the bride put his daughters shoes on her. This. Was. Beautiful.
Mom helped with the garter. It is beautiful to see parents serving their daughters on the big day. These are the moments I adore.
The groom and groomsmen got ready at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Biltmore village. My side kick Michael captured these getting ready moments with the fellas.
First look awesomeness at the Biltmore Inn.
Here is why I LOVE shooting with my husband. While I am capturing the shot on the left, Michael is capturing the shot on the right. Two completely different perspectives, both really fun shots.
Sarah is SO beautiful! Look at those eyes! Her hair was done by the fantastic Emily Wells.
Let the ceremony begin!
Reverend Bill Black did an excellent job on the ceremony!
Husband and wife shenanigans.
Introducing Mr and Mrs Doug Perrin!
Toast from all sorts of fun angles.
Cake cutting number 1!
Cake cutting number 2!
Love this first dance! They were so “in to each other” I love it when the couple forgets anyone else is around and enjoys this moment.
Let the party begin! The band U.S. Beat entertained us for the evening and they did not disappoint. That party was hopping!
Congrats Sarah and Doug!!! We wish you a world of happiness in the years to come.
