Makenzie and TJ’s Biltmore Lioncrest Wedding!

Makenzie and TJ were married on a bright sunshiny day in April at the beautiful Biltmore estate. As Asheville wedding photographers it doesn’t get much better than this.

Makenzie’s mom wanted us to make a slideshow of the big day, so if you want to see the photos below set to music, here you go!

Shout out to these professionals that made this day happen!

-Wedding Planner- The amazing, Tamara Heston with Belle-Soiree

-Dress Designer – Haley Paige bought at The White Magnolia in Tampa

-Make Up/ Hair – AnaRie Asheville

-Floral, Catering, and Cake – Biltmore

-DJ- Dylan Skidmore with Blazin Sounds Entertainment

-Officiant – Karen Doucette

This couple was one of the kindest we’ve met. TJ made us and everyone around him feel absolutely welcome. And Makenzie was laid back and well, drop dead gorgeous.

You can tell in these photos below that they absolutely adore one another. Their first look says it all!

It’s always a good day when we get to ride on a Gray Line Trolley!

Some photos with the Biltmore house are in order!

And, of course, with this glorious wisteria near the tennis lawn!

These guys…. TJ was absolutely hilarious!

Onward to the ceremony in the upper level of Lioncrest!

Michael and I loved looking back over this wedding and seeing all the candid moments with these amazing smiles. Truly a jolly group of people!

Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Holland!

The welcome speech by Makenzie’s parents brought laughter and tears.

This officiant was also a family friend. She was super nice!

Dylan with Blazin’ Sounds Entertainment brought the heat! It was SUCH a fun dance party!

Congrats Makenzie and TJ!!!

We asked Makenzie and TJ a few questions about themselves and their big day! Here is what they said!

Tj and I met in college attending the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. We met at a fraternity party ( I lived across the street from his fraternity house). Our first date was a restaurant call 1885 where we sat on the patio underneath the lights listening to the band and we have now been together for 4 years!

Tj popped the question at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club in Florida over Thanksgiving while my parents were in town so it was a family affair!

My parents were born and raised in Asheville so we grew up going there all the time. As we got older Biltmore held such a special place in our hearts that we knew it was the best choice for a wedding!

My wedding dress and cake were two of my favorite details of the whole day! The cake was so different from any other cake we’d ever seen! We chose a coconut cake with chocolate ganache filling!

The food was absolutely amazing as well! Our appetizer was a crab back over spicy creamed corn. Lioncrest house salad. And the main course was a filet of salmon and beef tenderloin with potatoes and asparagus! I believe our final number for the wedding was around 118 guests.

The funniest thing at the reception was when Tj was dancing so hard he ripped his pants. Tom (Tjs dad)luckily came to the rescue and switched with him!

Our first dance song was “Perfect Symphony” by Ed Sherran. Tj’s parents heard it on the radio and always said the song reminded them of us!

Looking back I so wish we could relive the entire day! There was no favorite part as it was all just so magical!!
