Melinda and Chris chose Asheville, NC for their amazing destination wedding and their Biltmore Estate wedding was absolutely drop dead gorgeous! Not only that, Melinda and Chris were such a joy to be around.
Melinda and Chris chose to switch things up just a bit and do a first look 4 days BEFORE their wedding day! This allowed us to travel around the estate capturing many of it’s amazing locations.
We also were able to catch the “golden hour” which is hands down one of the best times for lighting when the sun is out!
Since the couple was getting married in front of this conservatory we decided to take some time shooting that setting.
Meriah is a flower and plant enthusiast and absolutely loves this conservatory.
The sunlight was doing some amazing things during the “golden hour” so we had a great time shooting among the flowers there.
We all took in the sunset on Biltmore’s south terrace. The views were absolutely stunning.
Onward to the wedding day! Our day started out at the Inn on Biltmore Estate. One of our main goals on a wedding day is to capture all the little details that make a day so unique to each bride and groom.
One of the most amazing details of the day was this bouquet!
Studio Flora Diva created a masterpiece in this wedding bouquet. It even matched the mums of the walled garden at Biltmore!
October in the walled garden provided such beauty for us to all take in. What a perfect place for a Biltmore wedding ceremony!
Cocktail hour and dancing would later be held in the butterfly gardens at the Conservatory.
The reception would be held inside the conservatory among all those lush green plants.
Let’s back up to the beginning of the day! Michael and I loved hanging with Melinda and Chris and their lovely families. We found that we especially loved the Bosnian culture from Melinda’s side of the family. They were so kind to us and treated us like their very own guests!
We all later traveled to the front lawn of the Biltmore House to get a few of these moments.
Onward to the ceremony site!
One of our favorite things to capture is candid images. This group was so jolly and had SUCH a great time despite the chilly temps right before ceremony.

The mums at the walled gardens for their Biltmore estate wedding were simply stunning this year! Melinda and Chris looked too good in front of that backdrop as well. They were so, so happy!

The toasts brought a lot of sweet laughter.
The wedding cake was designed by the chefs at Biltmore Estate to look like the conservatory! If you are having a Biltmore Estate wedding why not embrace it’s beauty in some of your details?
These cake smashing moments are the absolute best but most importantly it tasted good too!
Each of the parent dances were priceless.
We danced the night away and had the best time. After all, who can tell how chilly it is when you are dancing? DJ Mitch Fortune from
