Amanda is a killer hairstylist! She is one of the best in Asheville NC. In fact she did my hair for Mine and Michael’s 10 year vow renewal last September.
So when Amanda asked us to be her wedding photographers we felt so honored. I mean, of all the amazing photographers in Asheville that she has worked with, she picked us!
Amanda and TJ were married at the GORGEOUS Olivette wedding venue right on the French Broad River. This was our first wedding here and we loved the scenic back drop during the ceremony!

A bit about Amanda: she is an Asheville native and the youngest of four children who loves her family and little dog so much. She is caring and has a heart of gold she always puts other people’s feelings first!
A bit about TJ: He’s an Asheville native he’s the oldest of 3 and a father of an amazing daughter. He’s a strong, hard working and caring man that always makes sure his girls have everything they ever need. He’s my rock. He loves his family and his dog!
How did you meet? In the parking lot of chick-fi-la
Describe your first date? It was fabulous! A perfect pizza and movie date (pizza is one of our favorites)
How long have you been together? 13 years
What are your favorite hobbies and activities to do as a couple? We like to cook together, go to/or watch movie together , and have dinner with friends. Walking our dog and just anything together is our favorite hobby!
Who popped the question and HOW? He proposed with a Christmas ornament because I love holidays! He had it specially made with the statement, “Will you marry me?” He made sure his daughter was there and to be part of it as well!
Why did you pick Asheville and Olivette? Because we were both born and raised here and Olivette made us feel like home! Also, the views are amazing.
What adjective best describes your spouse on your wedding day? Caring
What tangible detail of your wedding day did you love the most? Wow that’s hard! I loved everything but if I had to pick it would be my dress and flowers!
How many guests attended the wedding? 50
What did you and your guests eat at the reception? Breakfast food!
What was the flavor of your wedding cake? No cake! Glazed doughnuts from Krispy Kreme
What is the one of the funniest things that happened on your wedding day? The groom’s nephew asking the planner, Nicole, to dance!
What was your first dance song and why did you pick it? Major “Why I love you”. My friend actually picked it and said this song is y’all’s song and she was right!
What stood out to you the most when you think of your wedding? Our family’s coming together was amazing.
What is on your “bucket list” to do together as a married couple? To travel more! To buy a house!
