Asheville Lifestyle Family Photography- Fall Sessions
It’s hard for me to explain to people why they should do a “Lifestyle Family Session.” So I have decided it is time to SHOW you why.
A lifestyle session is simply having your REAL life photographed as it happens. In your home, your children are comfortable and in their element. The focus on our end is to capture the family’s routine and the favorite activities around the house. Children grow up SO fast so the photos really help tell the stories years later. We already know this to be true with our boys.
Here are some of our favorite shots from the many lifestyle sessions we did this fall!
The Brackett Family
She’s just little. 🙂
She loves her blanket and picking the lint out from in-between her toes.
Story and snuggle time with mom in her room among her things.
This moment captures so much of their personalities.
Because sometimes our kids are wild and crazy!
I told the kids to show me their room and their favorite toys.
On the front porch.
The Golden Family
Hang out and wrestling time in mommy and daddy’s room. These are some of my favorite moments with my own kids.
Playing together in their playhouse.
What she sleeps with every single night.
Sometimes there are moments like this. One of these days those kids will look back and remember how much they were nourished and loved when they look at moments like this. I would give anything to have photos of my parents comforting me like this as a child.
Kids + Tents = Loads of fun.
Wrestling in brothers crib. He loves her so much.
He just turned one and so naturally we wanted to take photos of him digging into his “smash cake”.
Which means a bath is needed.
These moments don’t last long. Those babies grow up too fast. I am so glad they have this captured for blackmail purposes later. 😉
“After bath dress up time”
The Harley Family
His mom thanked me recently for always coming to their home for photos. The kids are so much more at ease and can just be themselves. This little guy loves his construction vehicles and sand box.
I love his swing!
Snack time again. 🙂
This moment with the twins cracks me up!
In the yard and around the house.
The Schwarzkopf family. Jill is actually our family photographer! We all share the same love for lifestyle photography. She is simply fantastic at capturing our family in our home. Michael and I were happy to capture her family in her home recently.
The Moses Family.
I shot their wedding 5 years ago. It was such an honor to get to photograph this next chapter in their story.
Dad’s turn to get him dressed.
In the front yard.
With dad’s truck!
Bath time with mom.
The Melson Family.
Her room will change A LOT over the course of her life. Now they will have photos to remember her room and all the decor.
Dad getting baby ready. Mom getting bath ready.
Towel shots was mom’s idea. She said looking in the mirror and cutting up was one of her favorite things to do after bath!
When I asked, “What are some special things baby likes to do with dad?” mom replied, “Probably dig in the fridge and get a snack. They love to eat pickles together!”
Daddy asked for a kiss… and um… well…
The Tomforde Family.
With 3 girls there are LOTS of tea parties I’m sure.
She is growing up and will not be playing with dolls much longer. Lets freeze this moment in a photo because we can’t stop time.
Sisters playing together.
Riding bikes in their amazing neighborhood is something they love to do.
One of the things I hear A LOT from moms is “My home is nothing fancy and isn’t decorated very much.” My response is “It’s about capturing the moments more than anything. When your kids look back on these photos years from now, they won’t look at the photos and think “Man! Mom was a horrible decorator!” Instead they will think, “Mom really took good care of me” or “I forgot about that toy and how much I really loved it” or “I had forgotten that my room looked like that” and “I remember that being our favorite thing to do together as a family!”
Now do you see why we love lifestyle sessions?? Book yours today and consider freezing these moments in time. They really do grow up so fast.
